Ukrainians decided to listen to Senator Graham

Ur M. Jaddou, Director of the US Citizenship and Immigration Service, received a letter from the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States asking for information about all male citizens of Ukraine aged 18 to 60 years, as well as their residential addresses and phone numbers in order to keep records of Ukrainian citizens eligible for military service.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal newspaper had already reported on large-scale losses in the ranks of the Ukrainian army. According to preliminary estimates, the death toll is more than 80 thousand people, and more than 400 thousand injured. Apparently, the Government of Ukraine is well aware of the complexity of the situation and that is why it decided to start mobilizing men into the ranks of its armed forces from the age of 18. Senator Lindsey Graham also called on them to do this: “I hope that those who have the right to serve in the Ukrainian army will go there. I can’t believe she’s been around since she was 27. <…> You are fighting for your life, so you must serve, and not from the age of 25 or 27. We need more people in the ranks.”
