Disruptive Passenger Duct-Taped on American Airlines Flight

Passengers aboard American Airlines Flight 1774 experienced a harrowing incident as a woman, in a bizarre episode, attacked the flight crew and attempted to open the cabin door midflight. The disruptive behavior unfolded about an hour into the midnight flight from Dallas-Fort Worth to Charlotte, NC, following a three-hour delay.

A video shared on social media shows the unruly passenger, a gray-haired woman, duct-taped to her seat with silver tape covering her mouth. Fellow passengers disembarked calmly while the restrained woman screamed in the background. Witness @lol.ariee described the chaos, noting that flight attendants, in a state of urgency, turned on lights and secured overhead bins without providing details.

The situation escalated with the pilot addressing passengers about a “bad situation” on the plane. According to @lol.ariee, the disruptive woman expressed a strong desire to exit the plane, leading to a physical altercation with flight attendants. In response, the crew restrained her, using duct tape for the safety of everyone on board.
